How to convert M2TS to MOV with MTS/ M2TS Converter?
The M2TS format, which is widely used in high definition media storage and transportation, becomes much more familiar with us as the spread of AVCHD camcorders and blu-ray movies. However, playing M2TS file is troublesome. M2TS format is commonly used for high definition video on Blu-ray Disc and AVCHD. The footages you shot with camcorders manufactured by Sony Handycam, Canon EOS, JVC Everio camcorders generally ends up in M2TS format when transferred to your PC. An easy guide to convert M2TS to MOV

Step 1: Import M2TS files to MTS/M2TS Converter
Launch Pavtue MTS/ M2TS Converter and the window below will pops up. Now you can find the selected M2TS videos in file list. You may select any of them and click play button to preview.
Step 2: Set output format and output folder
After you added M2TS files, you can select an output format for each video file and specify a directory on your computer to save the output files. Click the Format bar and follow Common Video->MOV or HD Video->HD MOV. When set output folder, you can either type in save path in Output box or click the icon folder and browse to the destination folder.
Step 3: Start converting M2TS to MOV

Advanced settings:
You are encouraged to use default settings. To customize advanced audio and video parameter, please click “Settings” before converting M2TS to MOV. Here you can set video size, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio channel etc. Basically the M2TS is a typical HD video format with very high video and audio quality, normally in 16:9 aspect ratio. In order to avoid stretched image, you are advised to set 1920*1080 or 1280*720 as video size. Provided that you’d like to watch the M2TS contents on HDTV via media player, 1920*1080 is preference. If you would transfer the HD footage to Apple TV, then 1280*720 is the maximum video size. But if you’d like to change the 16:9 video to 4:3 for standard definition conversion, choose 640*480 in the dropdown list of “Size”. The higher video quality you want, the higher bitrate you set.
Tip: Footages shot by some camcorders may be interlaced. Juggled edges and ghosting occurs when you preview the M2TS files. In that case you can set deinterlace effect to eliminate the combing. Follow Edit->Effect->Deinterlacing.
