It’s Not iPad 2 Plus but iPad HD that is What Apple is Working On

Following up our recent coverage about the recent report on Apple’s plan of releasing the iPad 2 Plus instead of the iPad 3 before the year ends, TheNextWeb is now reporting that Apple is indeed coming out with a new iPad but it will be called the iPad HD. Citing “reliable sources,” the report said that iPad HD which is scheduled to be released this coming fall will be sporting a double resolution screen which is 2048×1536. Of course, we’ve learned about this before but what we don’t know is that it will be called as such – iPad HD.
Aside from the screen resolution, additional information about the iPad HD mentioned something about the device as being a “pro” device geared for the high end market and will come packed with professional software similar to the current version of Final Cut or Aperture for iPad. For Mac owners, this could well be represented along the lines of the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Another thing that the report clarified is that the next iPad to be released is not the iPad 3 but a complimentary model along the lines of the iPad 2. Incidentally for those anticipating the iPhone 5, the same report also mentioned something about a redesigned iPhone 5 coming together with the iPad HD.

So now tell me, is the iPad 3 the same as the iPad 2 Plus which is rumored to be available also by Fall this year and will be sporting a higher display resolution of something around 221-300 pixels-per-point?
