Guide- Lossless DVD to MKV backup with chapter markers, subtitles, and all audio streams preserved
Step 1. Run Pavtube ByteCopy software, put source DVD into DVD-ROM,, Click “Load Disc” button
to import movie files from DVD. The software decrypts DVD copy-protections of all regions.

Step 2. Select the whole movie (movie name), and click the “Edit Disc” button
to set output option for the entire movie.

By default the software keeps all subtitles and audio streams, and uses original chapters’ structure from the DVD media. Just uncheck the language you do not want to keep. To get lossless DVD backup, choose “Lossless” in dropdown list of “Format” box. When “Lossless” quality is set, Pavtube ByteCopy extracts the main movie with selected subtitles and audio tracks from disc and seals the contents into MKV container without transcoding, and the inlaid DVD chapter ripper extracts chapter markers by default, which means you get original video quality and keep chapter markers at the same time.

To shrink or convert up DVD movie, choose “HD Player” and click “Settings” to set video bitrate, size, frame rate, audio codec, sampling rate, channels, subtitle format, etc.
Step 3. Click the “Convert” button
to start backing up DVD movie to MKV file with chapter markers in the file. It usually takes around 10 minutes to complete lossless DVD to MKV backup. After conversion just press "Browse Export Path" to find generated video. You can set auto shut down by checking the box of “Shut down computer after conversion".

Step 1. Open ripped DVD movie: Run VLC Media Player, press “Media”>> “Open File” and browse to the ripped DVD movie.
Step 2. Select chapters: Press “Playback”>> “Chapter” to view all chapter markers and set specific chapter as starting point for playback.
