Step 2: Select your desired language as subtitle and audio track
To rip and convert Blu-ray Avatar to MKV, MP4, MOV, etc. on Mac, the Mac Blu-ray ripper allows you to select your desired language as subtitle and audio track.
1. Select subtitle
Click the drop-down list of “Subtitle”, then all the subtitle info in the Blu-ray Avatar will be shown clearly, including language and stream ID, which enables you to select your needed language as your subtitle freely.

In addition, Pavtube Blu-Ray Ripper for Mac also offers an option called “Force Subtitles”. When you check “Force Subtitles”, you will see subtitles only when actors are speaking another language that is not your mother tongue. For instance, if you specify English (your mother tongue) as your subtitle, and meanwhile tick off “Force Subtitle” option, then when actors are speaking English, no subtitles will show up, but when they are talking with each other in “Navi”, the English subtitle will appear accompanying with the “Navi”.

2. Select sound track
Click the pull down menu of “Audio”, and then the popup list will give you the detailed information of audio tracks (see the above screenshot), including language, audio codec, stream ID and audio channel. Just do as selecting subs to pick your needed sound track.
Step 3: Select MKV, MP4, MOV, etc. as output format
Click the pull down menu of “Format” to select MKV, MP4, or MOV as output format. If you wanna rip and convert Blu-ray Avatar to SD video, you can choose “Common Video”, if you wanna convert BD Avatar to HD video, you can choose “HD Video” as output format. For instance, supposing your target format is HD MKV, then you can follow “”HD Video”> “MKV HD Video (*.mkv)”.

Step 4: Adjust video and audio settings to optimize the output file quality
The Mac Blu-ray ripper allows users adjust video and audio settings to customize the output file quality of Blu-ray Avatar. Click “Settings” button, then you will be able to adjust video and audio parameters in your own way, including codec name, aspect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel.
