Upload MP4 to YouTube

Upload a Flipagram (.MP4) video to YouTube

My wife has edited a 25 min FLIPAGRAM video that she has to upload to YouTube for assessment
However it has saved in .MP4 format & YouTube keeps saying in wrong format but I cannot work out how to convert it. Any help be great fully received.

My MP4 file won't upload

I have tried multiple times to upload a video that I made. It is rendered as an MP4, the raw file says MP4, and yet YouTube says "Failed (unable to convert file format)". If MP4 files are on the accepted list of file formats and other users can upload them, why can't I? If it makes any difference, my video was made on my laptop in Sony Vegas 8, saved to an external hard drive and then attempted to be uploaded from a desktop. Please, any help is appreciated. I just want to watch my video.

Content should be encoded and uploaded in the same frame rate it was recorded.
Common frame rates include: 24, 25, 30, 48, 50, 60 frames per second (other frame rates are also acceptable).
Interlaced content should be deinterlaced before uploading. For example, 1080i60 content should be deinterlaced to 1080p30, going from 60 interlaced fields per second to 30 progressive frames per second.
