How to convert Sony F55/F5 XAVC media to ProRes 422 for FCP X

Step 1. Install and launch the Pavtube Sony XAVC to ProRes Converter for Mac

Click "File">"add video/Audio" to load individual videos, or click "add from folder" to load the whole folder.

Step 2. Chose ProRes 422 for XAVC in FCP X  

Click "Format" preset and choose "Final Cut Pro" > "Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) (*.mov)" as best video format for editing Sony XAVC in FCP X as well as good video quality.

Tips:

If you just want to convert this video for normal use and want it to be smaller in size, then Apple ProRess 422 (*.mov) is suggested.

But if you want to pursuit the best quality of the videos and you have faith in your Mac processor , then suggest you go for this Apple ProRes HQ (*.MOV), for better quality but larger file size.(Differences among Apple ProRes codec)

Step 3. Fix the Fraem rate, bitrate according to your video quality needs

If you shoot your videos under 4K , then you may find the default settings of the Size (pix) is not 3840*2160, but no need to worry about that, just type those parameters in the following box by yourself.

Step 3. now click "Convert" and let it go.
