Import All H.264 to Davinci Resolve for Editing

H.264 is an industry standard for video compression, the process of converting digital video into a format that takes up less capacity when it is stored or transmitted. Steps to Convert H.264 to Davinci Resolve More Supported video

Step 1. Load H.264 files

Here you can directly drag & drop the H.264 files to the converter, or click “Add Video” or “Add from folder” button on the top menu to browse and choose H.264 files. Batch conversion is supported here. 

Step 2: Specify output file format for Davinci Resolve

Click "Format" bar, from its drop-down list, select Davinci Resolve best supported editing codec such as "Avid DNxHD (*.mov)" from "Avid Media Composer" main category menu extended list. Exporting H.264 from Davinci Resolve

Davinci Resolve 11 can export H.264 QuickTime MOV format but can't output H.264 MP4 video. So, if you want to export H.264 video from Davinci Resolve 11, you only can get H.264 QuickTime MOV. In the render settings window, set the presets to Video Sharing Export, Video Format to QuickTime, Video codec to H.264.Then you can choose video resolution as you need.

As for Davinci Resolve 12.5 and higher version, they can't export H.264 video. DaVinci is designed for professional video workflows, and as such it's geared to work with professional formats, of which H.264 isn't really considered one. You can export to YouTube and export to Vime in 720p, 1080p, and 2160p then use the video converter in this guide to convert the Davinci exporting file to H.264.
